Wolverine directed?

Far be it from me to imply that Wolverine could ever be directed, controlled, commanded, etc., but it seems that when it comes to the big screen, he has to cede some control. Rumors (isn't just about everything a rumor?) have come to light that seem to place the responsibility for helming the first solo X-Men movie (about Wolverine, in case you can't pick up context clues) in the hands and vision of D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, Two for the Money). Caruso is apparently on a very short list for directing the movie, but he is in competition with Len Wiseman (Underworld movies, Live Free or Die Hard) in the event that Caruso doesn't pan out, as often times directors can be wooed by other projects. Guess we're in wait and see mode, as always seems to be the case. Wolverine's leasholder
