The Black Dossier

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Extraordinary graphic novel, rather pedestrian movie. It's one of those works that I think people tend to forget was written by Alan Moore (you know, the guy that wrote The Watchmen and V for Vendetta), but its a classic nonetheless. A "sequel" to the book has been in the works for some time now, and it appears that we'll be seeing that sequel in the near future...October 3 to be exact. The Black Dossier will rejoin Moore with artist Kevin O'Neill in a world where the League has been disbanded. Despite the new regime controlling the country, Mina Murray and Allan Quartermain are looking for a book that contains all the answers. Its not the Bible, which according to Homer Simpson has no answers, but The Black Dossier, which is a handy reference guide for the history of the League. The hardcover work will feature a "Tijuana Bible" insert, 3-D section with the requisite glasses, and other extras (additional text pieces, maps and a naughty double-page spread of the Nautilus as drawn by O'Neill). As mentioned earlier, it should hit stores October 3, clock in around 200 pages, and retail for about $29.95. So check it out if you were a fan of the first, and see what wacky misadventures befall the League this time around. The Black Dossier
