Preview: Shanna the She Devil: Survival of the Fittest

Both Marvel and DC seem to be all about these graphic novels that combine certain issues of a series. Sure, its a great way to get caught up on a series you may have missed, but I feel like it kind of capitalizes on that collectible yen that most of us comic collectors succumb to on a weekly basis (brilliant business strategy I guess). One of Marvel's latest forays into this "collecting issues in a volume" trend is Shanna the She Devil: Survival of the Fittest. Comprising of issues 1-4, Shanna the She Devil: Survival of the Fittest has it all: Hong Kong gangsters, dinosaurs, diamonds and cavemen (and women obviously). Modern day pirates are shipwrecked on the island, and have to rely on Shanna to keep them alive. Shanna the She Devil: Survival of the Fittest reunites artist Khari Evans with writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, and hits stores February 27 for $10.99.
