Justice League Mortal going to Middle Earth

So its been a while since news about the supposed Justice League Mortal film that is having an on-again, off-again relationship with actually being produced. The latest? Its filming in New Zealand now. According to The Dominion Post, George Miller is still contemplating filming in the US and Canada, but has now added New Zealand to the mix. Its no secret that Australia is contemplating overhauling the way they do film tax incentives, and that doesn't sit too well with Miller. So it only makes sense that he would go next door to New Zealand. Wellington based Weta Workshop is already doing the costumes for the film (and also did so for the Lord of the Rings trilogy), so it wouldn't be too far-fetched to produce the movie there as well. Producer Barrie Osborne (who also produced the Lord of the Rings trilogy) said Miller had two options, neither of which help Australia. "If George is unsuccessful in appealing to the [Australian] government, then there's two choices - you either scale back the movie in some substantial way or you find another place to do the movie that you can do for the budget." Good times. Justice League Mortal in New Zealand
