Gotham City Dossiers: Viper Comics

Welcome to Gotham City Dossiers where I try and showcase a lesser known comics publisher. This isn't to say that these publishers need my help bringing attention to themselves, but I'd like to think that readers can get stuff here that they may not be able to get elsewhere. So enjoy, and be sure to check in every Thursday for Gotham City Dossiers. Founded in December 2001 in Dallas, TX, Viper Comics strives for one thing: publish comics of the highest quality. Of course that's an easy goal to strive for, but honestly not many publishers really reach that goal. But that's what makes Viper Comics stand out, because just about all their books are unique and intriguing. For example, Villains tells the tale of Nick Corrigan-unemployed, behind on the rent, and his girlfriend may be having an affair-who blackmails his neighbor into training him to become a career super-criminal. Karma Incorporated features two con artists, two hackers, and a retired hit man who go into business, turning a profit on minor sabotage. And then there's also Wulf and Betsy, the story that chronicles the adventures of a big bad Werewolf named Wulf and a feisty little Vampiress named Batsy, as they wander the earth in search of a place to call home and companions to call friends (and of course biting people and drinking blood along the way). Some of the talent includes Josh Howard, Jason M. Burns, Bryan Baugh, Javier Grillo-Marxuach and Les McClaine just to name a few. The site also features a gallery, forums and of course an events calendar, because how can you expect people to pay any attention to you if they don't know where they'll encounter you. They also have some webcomics if you're at your computer and can't wait to get the comic book store. So check out Viper Comics, and enjoy the work. Viper Comics
