Free Comic Book Day 2009 Avengers assemble!

Free Comic Book Day is awesome. There are usually 5-10 comics that are designated as free by the major publishers, and most likely your local comic book haunt has tons of back issues of stuff that they give away for free or sell heavily discounted for the sake of clearing inventory. Its a win-win all around! Marvel has decided to create a special comic for May 2, 2009: one that features Thor, New Avengers and Dark Avengers all on the same team. "We're delighted to bring Marvel's Mightiest Heroes and two of our top creators together for this special event," said David Gabriel, Marvel's Senior Vice President of Sales. Who are those top two creators you ask? None other than Brian Michael Bendis and Jim Cheung. The book will fit into the Marvel Universe continuity, and will be called simply The Avengers.
