G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie M.A.R.S. troopers images

Its been a while since Omnicomic talked about the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie that is set to come out this year. Oh, you forgot about that? The fact that two movies representative of my youth and the 80s in general in Transformers and G.I. Joe are about to get big screen releases (the former obviously being a sequel)? Good thing I'm here to remind you then. And Hisstank is going to back me up on it. The G.I. Joe fansite has gotten their hands on images of the M.A.R.S. troopers from the film. Now for those that are unaware, the M.A.R.S. troopers are the Military Armament Research Syndicate; a private company under the leadership of James McCullen, 24th Baron of (Laird) Destro. Using tactics such as sabotage and assassination, Destro has used his Iron Grenadiers to force otherwise peaceful nations into war so he can increase his weapons sales. Yikes. The movie is focusing on the rise of Cobra, but you know that wouldn't be happening without a little bit of Destro in the mix. So get your gander in while you can, as I'm sure Paramount will be making the rounds sending the DCMA notices at some point in the near future. And mark August 7, 2009 on your calendars, as that's when G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is set to hit theaters. M.A.R.S. images
