Zenoscope gives No Quarter

Zenoscope are very familiar with creating tales involving scantily clad versions of our favorite fairy tales from our youth. In a slight change of pace, they've turned to Jim Croce to create a new work featuring pirates called No Quarter. No Quarter is a gritty pirate series that follows Charlie Drake, a you man that discovers his bloodline is pretty extraordinary, meaning he should get out there and become a legend himself. A preview issue of the book will be available at New York Comic Con and features art by Mark Sparacio and a cover by Joe Benitez. The twelve issue series will be released in May 2009 and will also feature the “Party Like A Pirate” contest in which entrants will have a chance to win a trip to Key West, Florida. Full press release below. Zenescope teams with Pat Croce Best-selling author, motivational speaker and former Philadelphia 76ers President, Pat Croce, will be co-publishing a pirate-themed comic book series with Zenescope Entertainment entitled NO QUARTER. Croce is an expert in pirate history and in 2005 founded THE PIRATE SOUL museum in Key West, Florida. Zenescope Entertainment, a Philadelphia based comic book and graphic novel publisher known mostly for its dark and edgy brand, was also founded in 2005 by Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco. NO QUARTER is a “hardcore and gritty pirate series unlike anything seen before.” says Zenescope VP Ralph Tedesco. The story follows Charlie Drake, a young man who finds that his bloodline is anything but ordinary then sets out to find a new life and in the process becomes a legend. A preview issue of NO QUARTER written by Croce (Pirate Soul, I Feel Great and You Will Too!) and Adam Slutsky with artwork by Mark Sparacio (Jonah Hex) and cover by Joe Benitez (The Darkness, Wraithborn) will debut at New York Comic Con February 6th, 2009. The twelve issue series will be released in May 2009 and will also feature the “Party Like A Pirate” contest in which entrants will have a chance to win a trip to Key West, Florida.
