Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow?
Emily Blunt was long ago rumored to be playing the role of Black Widow in Iron Man 2, the expected blockbuster sequel to the first film. Entertainment Weekly feels this may no longer be the case however, as they are reporting some new casting developments.
Blunt may not be able to play the part of Black Widow because of her previous commitment to a Gulliver's Travels film, so cue up Scarlett Johansson. Now, Marvel won't confirm this casting rumor (or the Blunt one for that matter), but reports are in that she was seen meeting with Marvel bigwigs about the film. She would be playing the role of Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow. Blunt's representatives are busy trying to make both projects work, but its not looking likely.

ReplyDeleteI guess I was looking for a pun (admittedly a bad one) with Black Widow and swing since she first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man, and Spider-Man has a knack for swinging.
