Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash 2 cover debuts

Do you know what a triptych is? One of those lovely pieces of artwork that spreads across three panels to create massive, landscape type photo. In the past, they were limited to artists such as Bosch, but Dynamite Comics figured that may comic book fans could appreciate the fine art style. They'd appreciate it even more if it featured three pop culture icons: Freddy, Jason and Ash. The upcoming sequel to the first go at the carnage caused when the three of these guys get together features a renewed hatred among them. Power hungry politicians? Check. Necronomicon? Check. S-Mart? Double check. Throw in Jason and Freddy and you have a few more checks. Dynamite describes the book as follows: “Beneath the bloody waters of Crystal Lake, an immortal evil wakes and begins anew the cycle of grueling violence. Six months after the events of FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH, a power-hungry government bureaucrat unleashes the denizens of the Necronomicon including the banished spirit of the Springwood Slasher, Freddy Krueger. But Ash Williams has checked his monster-hunting past at the door. A Chosen One no more, he thinks that a life of domestic bliss and retail tending is his true calling until the ghosts of the past show up to punch his clock again.” Yes, the cover is by Arthur Suydam. The book comes out June 24 and its the first issue of six.
