Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johannson officially confirmed for Iron Man 2

First he was in. Then he was out. Then he won a Golden Globe. Then he was sort of in. Then he was nominated for an Oscar. And now he's officially back in it. Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood confirmed that Mickey Rourke is signed on for Iron Man 2. Word was that Marvel initially offered the man $250,000 for the role, an insanely low number for what is expected to be a mammoth blockbuster. Thankfully, he has an awesome agent in David Unger who really went to bat for Rourke to get a larger salary. So yeah, he's in the movie as the "Russian villain," which will most likely be Crimson Dynamo if earlier rumors hold true. Another interesting tidbit in the article was a passing mention of Sony's consideration of Rourke for a role as a villain in Spider-Man 4. Which is interesting. Who would Sony be considering as a villain that Rourke would fit the bill of? Vulture? Rhino maybe?

But it doesn't stop there. Nope. Scarlett Johansson has also been confirmed for the role of Black Widow. Reps for Emily Blunt, who was previously in contention for the role, said that Marvel's offer was pretty much embarassing and is one of the main reasons she didn't take the role. That and Fox optioning her for another film, but that's beside the point. Marvel is really becoming infamous when it comes to casting paychecks and creative control, and if they're not careful its going to bite them in the ass. The last thing fans want to see are these movies falling apart because Marvel doesn't have enough business sense to properly pay the actors when these movies are raking in tons of money.
