TMNT movie open auditions

Are you a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? If so, then chances are you were way too young to even fathom being in one of the three live-action movies. Now you're a little older, a little wiser, and a lot more likely to want to have a role in the upcoming brand new live-action TMNT movie. Good thing too, because the producers of the film are holding open auditions for roles in the movie. Now before you start measuring your shoulder width for a shell the casting call is ONLY for martial artists to be shrouded members of the Foot Clan. So don't go getting your hopes up of wearing a colored eye bandana or shoulder-pads with knives on them. If you do happen to have some martial arts experience and figure any movie break is better than no movie break at all then read on to get all the details on the casting call. The actual call will take place Saturday, July 18 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Hollywood & Highland (6801 Hollywood Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90028). The call is part of the 25th Anniversary "Shell-ebration" of the ninja turtles and is looking to bring in all sorts of varying fighting styles to diversify the Foot Clan. The judges will take a look at all auditionees and select the best to be part of the new movie due in theaters in 2011. Said judges will include martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. and Jason Morgan as well as producers of the film Scott Mednick and Galen Walker. The actual audition is a 30-second, single person demo with no metal, sharp or bladed weapons allowed (so please don't dress as Shredder). A Splinter wood cane appears to be perfectly legit however. You have to bring a photo and updated resume with contact information, and you only have to be at least 14 years of age. So if you're feeling frisky and are going to be in the LA area this Saturday by all means head down and show off 30 seconds of your martial arts best. TMNT movie open auditions
