USA Today has just released a new image of Robert Downey, Jr. in full Stark Industries racing suit garb. Whew.
The image comes attached to a nifty little article about the power of Comic-Con and how the masses in attendance can make or break a movie.
"This is about the toughest group there is to impress," says Robert Downey Jr., reprising his role as playboy superhero Tony Stark. "They're watching your footage, every one of them waiting to Twitter whether you suck."
So succint Mr. Downey.
The story is a semi-preview about what to expect from the sequel due in theaters next year. There are talks of Gwenyth actually getting an onscreen kiss, Terence Howard's non-return and even Mickey Rourke's disdain for comics (thankfully his like for good movies won out).
"I never really cared for the comic books," he says. "I didn't like Superman or Spider-Man. They seemed pretty silly. Then I saw Iron Man and thought, 'OK, this is (an expletive) good movie, a real movie."
If you're heading to the con be sure to cram yourself into Hall H on Saturday, July 25 from 4-5 PM for the Iron Man 2 panel. I'd highly recommend getting there early if you want a shot at actually seeing the cast members and footage from the new film.
