Don't forget Forgetless

Simple Minds once asked us all to not forget about them. Everyone wants to be remembered for one thing or another, and this is especially true for literature and media. If you forget about a book, movie, song, etc., well then that means a quicker route to obscurity for said artistic piece. How to combat this? Name your work Forgetless. Image Comics is poised to bring you Forgetless #1 this December. The way writer Nick Spencer describes it, it's safe to picture an Akira Kurosawa film with bullets. "FORGETLESS is akin to Rashomon in a night club, just with a lot more bullets," Spencer said. "In a way, FORGETLESS may be the first action-thriller perfect for fans of the films 'Go!' and 'Igby Goes Down', especially with how Scott, Marley & Jorge's styles each combine different aspects of indie and blockbuster action comics. FORGETLESS will certainly be a night to remember." In the first issue, Sonia and Sara are struggling models turned professional killers. I think it's safe to say that if any millionaire confused them with strippers and tried to make it rain they'd probably kill the millionaire. Huzzah women's liberation! In all seriousness, the cover looks wicked awesome and I think this book has some great potential. The series will be a five-parter and the first issue will hit stores December 9 for $3.50.
