New York Comic Con 2010 Artist Alley sign-ups

I'm no artist. I make no claims nor attempts at illustrating anything. The results wouldn't be pleasant. If I were an artist on the East Coast I would most likely want to make sure I had a spot at New York Comic Con 2010, considering it's probably the biggest show on this side of the country. I'd be in luck too because sign-ups for Artist Alley starts today. Applications will go live at 12 PM EST for the Fifth Anniversary Show. Participation is simple. Click over to www.nycomiccon.com to apply. Simple see? Now, not every artist will get a table, so part of the tables are being distributed on a first come, first serve basis. The remaining parts will be juried, which I suppose means will be randomly allotted by the show facilitators. If you've previously applied to be part of the Alley you're not guaranteed a spot. The show is a great way for artists to get their work known. I'd say if you can do it (afford it mainly) it'd probably be worth your while as an aspiring artist. Talent scouts from the likes of DC, Marvel and Top Cow walk those aisles as well, looking for the next great artist to add to their staff. Full press release below. New York Comic Con - October 8-10, 2010 - Jacob Javits Center - NYC NYCC 2010 Artist Alley Opens On Monday! Sign Up For Space Starting November 2nd Aloha! This is NYCC Show Manager Lance Fensterman with a special reminder. Applications for tables in New York Comic Con's 2010 Artist Alley will go live at noon (12 PM EST) on Monday, November 2nd. NYCC has been proud to feature both living legends as well as rising stars in our Artist Alley in previous years, and we're excited now to turn our attention to our Fifth Anniversary Show and our biggest and best Artist Alley yet! If you'd like to participate, simply click over to www.nycomiccon.com starting at noon on Monday to apply. Please note that because of the sheer volume of applications we get, we cannot provide every artist a table. Instead, part of the tables are given away first come, first served and others are juried (Applying just lets us know you'd like to participate in Artist Alley. It doesn't guarantee you a space). Please also note that if you've appeared in NYCC's Artist Alley previously, you're not automatically provided a table in 2010. We do these things to make sure our Artist Alley has a diverse mix of artists -- and a different mix every year. If you have any questions or comments about Artist Alley, just click over to www.nycomiccon.com. Further information, prices, and deadlines will all be online along with our applications.
