Boston Comic Con

I'll be the first to admit that I've been a little critical of past Boston Comic Cons. I've been to the past two and each of them were really a bunch of local comic book shops in a room selling stuff. This year looks to be a watershed moment for the fledgling convention though, with a new location and a surprisingly stacked guest list. Taking place April 10-11 at the Westin Boston Waterfront, Boston Comic Con is boasting awesomeness this year. The headliners include Jim Lee, Mike Mignola and Eric Powell, which is as powerful a comic book trio as you can have. Others at the show include Joseph Michael Linsner, Jim Starlin, Bill Sienkiewicz, JH Williams III, Billy Tan, Steve Rude, Michael Golden, Ben Templesmith, Skottie Young, Joe Jusko, Cameron Stewart, Mike Norton and more. Amber Benson (of Buffy The Vampire Slayer fame will also be on hand, as will DC Art Director Marc Chiarello doing portfolio reviews. Sunday will also feature a costume contest and panels featuring Lee, Mignola and Powell. Signed limited edition prints for Boston Comic Con by Joseph Michael Linsner and Bill Siekiewicz will be available for sale.
