Comic Book Fans Bored to Death

HBO is like crack to me. I swear it doesn't matter what show they air I will watch it religiously, regardless of it being good or not (so far their track record has been pretty close to perfect though). One of the shows I got hooked on last year that had a brief "test" run last year was Bored to Death, adapting the works of writer Jonathan Ames to the small screen. In it, Jason Schwartzman plays Ames as a struggling writer who finds more excitement in becoming a private eye. The first season was a success and the second season finds need for you dear comic book fan.

In a press release (after the jump) the show's casting company is looking for comic book fans to play extras in a comic book convention scene. All you have to do is send an email with your full name, phone number and 2 clear snapshot photos (no professional shots) to boredtodeath2010@gmail.com. If you have photos featuring you in costume you can also send those along as they might be used in the show. Filming is slated to be the end of May, so don't expect to see HBO cameras at Comic Con this summer.
