Defense with the BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is set in a world where zombies have taken over and people live in small spots all over the world. It’s a weekly broadcast of news and a tip for survivors.)

Today is Memorial Day, a day that has a larger meaning for the entire world and not just for the United States. After the zombies hit everyone lost some friends, family, brothers in arms and more, leaving all of us to remember the fallen. Today is a day for all of those souls lost to be remembered for how bravely they fought against this undead force that has slowly consumed our planet. I know in this day and age it’s tough to do any form of celebration as zombies could be right outside your door wanting in, but do what you can. Make sure to never forget the sacrifices that have occurred in the past or the possible ones in the future that will be made in order for us to win the fight and defeat the zombies once and for all. For today I only bring a brief bit of news and will not broadcast a tip for today.

In the news I have heard whispers about the remnants of the United States government have begun to mobilize for an offensive in Florida as they are sailing down in what ships are left from their bases in New England. They are moving to help reinforce the Florida Keys and improve the walls and fortifications there, allowing more survivors to land and set up. Cuba has also sent one of their ships to aid in this matter as well with much appreciation for the help. After assisting the Florida Keys, the entire flotilla plans to head to Aruba and assist them afterward, as they have had skirmishes with pirates once again. The pirates have been preying on survivor boats and stealing supplies and people for their uses.

For the bad news I have received word that more settlements have fallen due to lack of supplies and in desperation those settlements attempted to venture out for them and were set upon by zombies. These places that have fallen are located in the United States in Utah and Nevada, but I've gotten word that a few places in Germany have also fallen due to lack of supplies. Things are getting tougher and tougher to find food or grow it yourself, but I may be mistaken as words reached me about New Zealand getting ready to ship goods worldwide once more. When I learn more about where they will take their supply ships too I will alert those in the area as they plan on making numerous stops throughout certain spots. Other than that bit of news I have no more and leave you to take in what this day means for us all and remember to keep fighting.
