Skyscrapers of the Midwest

I'm a big fan of Red Dead Redemption. I've never been one to get into the Grand Theft Auto games and was hesitant to take on the role of John Marston. I started playing it though and I love what Rockstar's done with the west. The game isn't the true wild west since it takes place in 1910/1911, right around the time the area was being forcibly dragged into the twentieth century. Having said all that, I'm digging comics about the west, such as Skyscrapers of the Midwest #1 from AdHouse Books.

Joshua Cotter has taken it upon himself to bring you a tale of an adolescent cat, his younger brother and their overactive imaginations. The west part comes in with the title as well as belligerent cowboys, lumbering automated deities and the wide open west. The book is in 6" x 9" hardcover and clocks in at a whopping 288 pages for $19.95, set to ship this August.
