BOOM! Studios Reveals Seven Covers for Stan Lee's The Traveler #1

BOOM! Studios must be feeling lucky because like Soldier Zero before it, Stan Lee's The Traveler will also have seven variant covers. Included will be a 1-in-300 variant cover that will be signed by Stan Lee (with art by Paul Rivoche), a 1-in-25 Joe Benitez variant, 1-in-50 Scott Clark Undressed Variant, 1-in-75 Chad Hardin Undressed Variant, 1-in-150 Joe Benitez Undressed Variant. The Traveler #1 is written by Mark Waid and features art by Chad Hardin and should be in stores in November.

September 13, 2010 - Los Angeles, CA - BOOM! Studios and POW! Entertainment unveiled Stan Lee's THE TRAVELER at a press conference during Comic-Con International 2010. It was there that fans learned that Eisner and Harvey Award-nominated writer Mark Waid and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN artist Chad Hardin would be joining Stan as writer and artist on the ongoing series, THE TRAVELER.

Today, the full slate of covers for THE TRAVELER #1 can now be revealed! This includes the special 1-in-300 variant cover that will be signed by Stan Lee.

In addition to THE TRAVELER, Stan Lee also announced he'd be joining BOOM! Studios to create two other new ongoing superhero series, SOLDIER ZERO and STARBORN, all shipping this Fall.

SODLIER ZERO, written by ACTION COMICS' and DOCTOR WHO's Paul Cornell with art by SUPERMAN artist Javier Pina, features a wheelchair-bound college student who is transformed when he is bonded with an alien weapon that falls to Earth. Half-human. Half-alien. All weapon. Stuart Travers is the first line of defense in a galactic war where Earth is the battle field! SOLDIER ZERO ships this October.

STARBORN, written by iZOMBIE's Chris Roberson with art by SPIDER-MAN's Khary Randolph, tells the story of a regular guy who discovers he's the heir to an intergalactic empire, putting him at the center of a war between five alien races. STARBORN ships this December.

THE TRAVELER solicitation appeared in the September issue of Diamond Previews letting fans know about this not-to-be missed publishing event of the year.

THE TRAVELER #1 is written by Mark Waid (KINGDOM COME, IRREDEEMABLE) with art by Chad Hardin (AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) and ships with seven covers, including A & B covers in a 50/50 split and 1-in-25, 1-in-50, 1-in-75, 1-in-150 covers and a special 1-in-300 Stan Lee signed variant cover. This title carries a Diamond Code of SEP100889.
