Defense with the BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is set in a world where zombies have taken over and people live in small spots all over the world. It’s a weekly broadcast of news from around the globe and a tip to help survival.)

We have gained ground against the zombies attacking and have been able to slowly thin them out to a degree. Almost have them pushed back far enough to get materials into the breach of our wall to begin plugging it and reinforcing it to prevent more zombies from getting in here. All the barricades and walls of our main building are still holding strong with no zombie incursions occurring and from our roof we've basically been using flamethrowers and bolt action rifles to take out the zombies in the yard. The smell is unimaginable of all those zombies burning and not sure that when we get it all under control if we'll ever be able to use the land there again. Just have to wait and see.

The forces that plotted this attack have been drawing more zombies to us and they decided to do a small prong attack when the zombies where very thin. They attempted to blow up the front entrance of our main building to let zombies in and take care of us for them. Unlucky for them we have some damn good snipers that took out the guys trying to use their grenade and rocket launchers. The rest fled back to wherever they are hold up with some zombies in tow, hopefully giving them some trouble beyond just us. With this bit of breathing room I figure I can at least go over some news reports I have received from other locals. Perhaps take a chance and send out a group to locate these aggressors.

Most of the news I have today comes from South America. Forces from Venezuela have combined with forces from Cuba to assist neighboring Caribbean countries in securing more land for survivors. They are concentrating their combined strength to help secure the Virgin Islands, focusing on Barbados as well. Ships within the group are able to pick up survivors on any of the surrounding and nearby islands to take to the newly cleared zones. You have to either get to the beaches to signal them or broadcast a pick up location and they will clear you of no infection and take you to the safe zones to help rebuild them.

That’s all I have for today. Hopefully by next week I'll have better news around here and a tip to report.
