Defense with the BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is set in a world where zombies have taken over and people live in small spots all over the world. It’s a weekly broadcast of news from around the globe and a tip to help survival.)

Most of the zombies along the northern border states of the US are still in a frozen or severely stiff state making it easier to move about out in the world. You should still be on your guard as one little mistake can end you and that's not good for anybody. If you're located in this part of the United States take advantage to do all you can, especially to repair or build up fortifications and supplies. Hopefully this snow will last out into next week making Christmas a time to actually celebrate for once without fear. For now though I have the news, but because of Christmas this week there will be no tip.

Newswise there's a whole lot of nothing as not much has been broadcasting the past few days. I figure the weather is the root cause of that as the wind and storms have been brutal in a lot of regions and is sure to be affecting communication. I did catch one radio message though coming from the US government regarding forces in the Northeast area about some food shortages. They aren’t at dire levels yet, but they are seeking out additional places to go barter and buy supplies from to ship back. With all the mass influxes of survivors heading that way strains are beginning to show.

Another bit of news I just received word about comes from the Caribbean, more specifically from Curacao and Aruba. Boats on patrol around those islands have been reporting ships infested with zombies floating out around. The fear is that these ships will drift closer to the islands, crash on the shores and spill the zombies out. A small flotilla from Cuba is heading down there to assist in towing the zombie ships to a deeper water region and sinking them. In addition they are bringing some supplies to the two islands to aid the survivor groups there and help them build up defenses.

That’s all the news I have for today and I'll have a new tip for you next week. Until then keep surviving.
