Defense with the BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is set in a world where zombies have taken over and people live in small spots all over the world. It was a weekly broadcast of news from around the globe and a tip to help survival, but now I have been bitten.)

I managed to dig out of this bunker room I escaped the blast in, but it wasn’t easy at all. The rubble had completely buried the front stairwell and the backup tunnel had a small cave in that needed to be dug out. I got some gear together for my journey in addition to this portable radio with transmitter, but the only problem is the range is nearly as far as my old setup. Plus being a zombie is showing its disadvantages, with not being able to carry as much as I could before and walking slower. It's an odd feeling in this state of being as a zombie, not breathing is really messing with me.

I'mm not entirely sure where I'm heading off to as I see some zombies milling about the remains just puttering around. They don’t seem to react to me any different to each other so at least I have that going for me. It is weird being this close to zombies without them trying to eat me, makes stabbing a knife through their heads a lot easier. Maybe that's what I can do- travel and kill zombies for however long I have this cure to keep me going for a good while.

Honestly I don’t think I have any chance of ever becoming whole again and alive fully as I have to figure out how to keep my organs intact somehow if that's even possible. A lot of questions so far and not so many answers. Being a zombie sucks. Will report back next week when I find out more and get a move on towards somewhere.
