New Arrivals: July 20, 2011

Comic-Con Preview Night is tomorrow. Which means after getting your weekly fix if you've got tickets to the show you'll be making your way to the San Diego Convention Center for the big show. One book you should grab before the big show is Haunted City #0, a special preview of a new series coming from Aspen Comics.

Written by Peter Johnson and illustrated by Michael Ryan (colors by Peter Steigerwild), Haunted City #0 is actually an interesting premise. Detective Tom Whalen is a 'lifer' on the force, as well as a veteran of the decrepit streets of New York City along with all the freaks that come with it. The zero issue reveals some of the secrets that New York City has at its heart, including vampires, golems, zombies and even the Son of Sam.
