Aspen Solicits November

The time of turkey and Black Friday is nearing. Mixed in with the giving of thanks though are the standard new release Wednesdays, those of which in November will merit some extra consideration of some Aspen Comics due in stores throughout the month.

November 2 will see the release of Dead Man's Run #0, written by Greg Pak and illustrated byTony Parker. THe title is about the world's toughest maximum security prison known as "Hell" and the nation's toughest soldier venturing into it. The 12-page zero issue sets the stage for the debut of the first issue and even includes an additional sketchbook section, never before seen character designs and sketches.

Haunted City #3 continues the saga of New York City, the biggest haunted house in the world. Cerberus and his werewolf gangsters are closing in on Tom, prompting him to steal his father's credentials and break into the NYPD's evidence warehouse. Instead of finding the heroin he needs to buy his way out of danger, instead he finds evidence that his father may be more sinner than saint. The title boasts the writing talents of Chap Taylor and Peter Johnson and the art of Michael Ryan and is slated to hit stores November 16.

Executive Assistant: Iris #5 also hits stores on November 16 and continues the Hit List Agenda spanning all Aspen titles. Written by David Wohl and illustrated by Ryan Odagawa, the title features Duncan Villone¹s horrific means of control leading the world to the disastrous edge of regional meltdowns. Executive Assistants Orchid, Lotus and Violet have all triggered events capable of setting off a global catastrophe that would forever change the balance of world power and domination. Iris must use impossible means to stop said Villone, most likely teaming up with other Executive Assistants.

Finally, Fathom Vol. 4 #4 hits stores November 23 and features Scott Lobdell as writer, Alex Konat on pencils and Beth Sotelo on colors. Aspen Matthews is faced with the discovery of the Church of the Eternal Depths. Along with the help of her new ally Gailt, Aspen must prevent this ancient order from exerting their nefarious influence over the rest of the world.

Full solicits and covers after the jump.
