Green River Killer: A True Detective Story Unleashed

I'm a sucker for true crime graphic novels. Torso by Brian Michael Bendis is still one of my favorite graphic novels I've ever read. Maybe it's the grittiness of the subject matter. Or maybe it's just that I'm a big fan of the psychology behind serial killers. Either way, Dark Horse has another graphic novel due out that might end up beside Torso on my bookshelf.

Green River Killer: A True Detective Story is the story of one of America's most notorious killers. In the 1980s the priority of the Seattle-area police was apprehending the Green River Killer, the man responsible for dozens of murdered women. In 1990, with the body count at 48, detective Tom Jensen took the case and eventually interviewed Gary Leon Ridgway about his motivations for the crimes.

The book is written by Jeff Jensen (Tom's son) and features art by Jonathan Case. The 240 page hardcover book will be available in stores tomorrow for $24.99. Full solicitation after the jump.
