Defense With The BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is an ongoing story set in a world where zombies have taken over and people are fighting to survive anyway they can. Originally it was a post of news and tips to help survivors make it one more day alive, but now it has became a story of my fight after being bitten and partially cured to walk as a half-zombie among them.)

A lot of activity this past week along the wall.

I decided to move along the wall north to see if there are any openings or activity that might be going on. I noticed more damaged spots and markings of battles that have gone on over the years. From the looks of things there has been some major action going down along this wall for a good bit of it.

I've only made it up to the middle of New York state as it appears to be curving back heading up through Vermont and I'm not sure if I'm going to follow it all the way up. Most of the gates that dot the wall all seem to be deserted or at least unmanned as I haven’t seen any patrols or lookouts on them.

I can’t remember the last broadcast I heard coming out of there. I did pick up some from a survivor outpost located near Buffalo and on some islands in the Great Lakes parts. Those spots sound to be holding out and not encountering a lot of zombies as the cold weather makes it difficult for the zombies to function.

Getting back to this government safe zone on the other side of the wall. Those are the ones I'm concerned about not hearing any transmissions from. One way or another I have to get on the other side of the wall and see what's what.

Beyond that it's been a boring ass week in regards to zombies and getting shot at; a nice change of pace really. I've also been able to continue to recover and heal, becoming stronger than before. While I still don’t have a pulse I feel like my muscles are regaining strength. That I still can't explain as usually in the case of zombies when muscles wear and tear they do not repair at all, but I can make mine do that though with the medicines I have been mixing.

It’s a good thing as I see the next few weeks are going to push me to the limits of what I can do with this zombieish body and here’s hoping it lasts long enough.
