Solicitations - Aspen Comics March 2012

March means more than just St. Patrick's Day and ides. For Aspen Comics it means releasing some topnotch comics and even a few, ahem, busts, of some of their better known properties.

Fathom: Kiani Vol. 2 #0 is written by Vince Hernandez and illustrated by Oliver Nome (colors by John Starr) and marks the return of Kiani. Fresh off of being killed by Fathom, Kiani is seeking all sorts of revenge with the help of her full power being revealed. The issue hits stores March 7.

Dead Man's Run #3 continues Greg Pak's tale about an elaborate jailbreak from hell. Cartographer Sam Tinker and his motley crew of criminals discover that the prison is slightly more horrifying than the anticipated. It doesn't help that Sam's secret might contribute to that horror. The issue is illustrated by Tony Parker and colored by David Curiel and hits stores March 14.

Finally, the publisher is releasing three different Aspen Matthews statues, all designed by Michael Turner and sculpted by Dean Mason. The first is Fathom: Aspen Matthews Statue, measuring 16 inches tall and with a 10 inch wide wingspan and hitting stores March 21.

The second is the Fathom: Aspen Matthews Black Armor Statue, featuring a brand new variant paint application, a light up, pulsating water base with a multi-colored revolving LED spotlight, dual on/off switches on the rear of the base for light control and LED spotlight pause and an engraved Aspen name plate.

There's also a matching number Certificate of Authenticity along with a full-size Aspen Mathews Black Armor color print signed by colorist Peter Steigerwald, and a special ‘Creation of a Masterpiece’ limited edition print showcasing statue design art illustrated by Fathom creator Turner.

The run will be strictly set to 300 statues when they're released March 21.

The third and final statue is actually a two for the price of one deal. It's the Fathom: Aspen Matthews Matched Statue Set that includes both of the above statues with matching numbers.
