Defense With The BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is an ongoing story set in a world where zombies have taken over and people are fighting to survive anyway they can. Originally it was a post of news and tips to help survivors make it one more day alive, but now it has became a story of my fight after being bitten and partially cured to walk as a half-zombie among them.)

There ya go. Keep moving this way, come on, come on. Bam. Got him. “Keep that window blocked, over there.” I yelled over at the survivors covering the other side.

We've been under siege the past few hours after we got chased in here. We're holed up in a sheriff’s office we found while running from a group of super zombies and regular shamblers that caught sight of us making our way through town. Grabbed two of the survivors before we realized what was going on. Here I thought going through would be a safer bet.

I picked up with these guys on Monday and figured it would be safer to travel together. Plus I can help see them through safer paths by scouting ahead for zombies. Don’t know what happened this time though. It’s like what happened last week where the super zombies seem to be acting smarter. I'm not gonna say they ambushed us, but they did get a lucky drop on us and things quickly fell apart when we started shooting save the regular zombies who kept on coming. That lead us to make the fast withdrawal and ending up here when we got cut off by another group that was intercepting us.

I don’t even know how I ended up here as was heading back down along the wall towards the coast to try and sail around it. I had to go further inland then I wanted to, which is where I met this group. Now look at where we are. Surrounded with no way out jumping at us saying hey over here kinda makes this a bad situation. I think we can take them if we stand and fight because sometimes you have to do it.

“Let’s get a fire line!”

“Just give them hell.”

Sam yelled out as the guys holding the window blocks came away and zombies were trying to pour in. Time to stand.
