Image Comics to Publish Dogs of Mars

Zoe is the captain of Earth's first martian colony. Isolated on the farthest frontier of civilization, where order breaks down and nocturnal monsters invade. Zoe faces mutiny, death and dishonor and must sacrifice her humanity in order to survive.

The description above is more than just a crazy future scenario. It's the main story in Dogs of Mars, newly published by Image Comics on May 2.

“We take you to the edge of the future and find that people haven’t changed all that much. Things go ‘Lord of the Flies’ pretty quickly and these characters discover who their friends and enemies really are,” says Tony Trov.

The work was originally created by South Fellini, the studio behind Moon Girl and LaMorte Sisters. Paul Maybury adds his own unique style of art.

Johnny Zito comments, “Paul's designs are very industrial with Japanese gore splattered about. His vision of the monster is a grotesque, alien twist on the classic werewolf.”
