Aspen Solicitations - November

November will be a big month for Aspen Comics. Three of their new series are launching/continuing and one of their more popular franchies gets collected in TPB form. Some great stuff for fans of the Aspen Universe, the first being a brand new mini-series called Charismagic: The Death Princess #1.

The follow-up to the successful Charismagic series is written by Vince Hernandez, with art by Emilio Lopez and colors by Jocelyn Dunn. Orlana has earned the nickname "Death Princess," ruling over all who oppose her with an ability to control minds. Kon is tasked with breaking her curse on humanity and freeing those already trapped.

Executive Assistant: Assassins #5 is also written by Hernandez, with art by Lori Hanson and colors by John Starr. Sophora has learned she must trust no one in the conclusion to the "Lost at Sea" arc. She and her lover Landon must escape the maniacal Tinkoté’s deadly deep ocean ambush on the Sea Voyager at all costs.

There's a fourth issue also due out in November and that's Homecoming #4. It's written by David Wohl, with art by Emilio Lasio and colors by Brett Smith. In it, Homecoming Day has arrived and Hunter, Celeste and friends find themselves going above and beyond the duties entrusted to them as the Homecoming committee. This includes finding a big surprise that sends the finale off with a bang.

Finally, Soulfire (Vol. 2) TPB: Dragon Fall is written by J.T. Krul, with art by Marcus To and colors by Beth Sotelo. The Dark Lord Rainier has been defeated, and Malikai—the Samusara, set forth the return of the light. Yet, the return of magic has created problems across the globe, as Grace attempts to bring order to a world devoid of magic for thousands of years.

Meanwhile, Rainier, in his endless crusade to rid the world of magic and all that it encompasses, decides the only way to extinguish the light is by fusing both technology and magic in horrific fashion—with terrifying results. The TPB collects together the sold out Zero issue, as well as issues #1 though #9, plus the rare 10-page Sonia story from Aspen Seasons Winter and the 20-page ‘Resurgence’ story previously only available in the Soulfire: New World Order mini-series.

It's 296 pages of everything Soulfire that even includes a complete covers gallery featuring artwork by the likes of Joe Benitez, Randy Green, Nick Bradshaw and Soulfire creator Michael Turner.
