Eric Munoz Launches Smoke and Mirrors Kickstarter
That's a good quote. It's even better when used to describe a brand new series from Eric Munoz and Julius Dean Abrera called Smoke and Mirrors: He by Whom We Live. And it's got a Kickstarter that needs some extra kicking.
Smoke and Mirrors: He by Whom We Live is the story of Max “Smoke” and Samantha “Mirrors,” age 17. They are two people who were raised and trained on a remote space station for reasons unknown. From the moment they could stand they were taught combat, tactics, and survival by a man named simply as Morbain. They live in a world where thirty planets have been colonized and more than a hundred stations float in space, making 3131 quite the year.
Despite advances in technology mankind finds itself trapped between two powerful forces. The Corporations and the crime Syndicates, both have deep ties in the galactic government. It’s a war of shadows, information control and deception with everyone caught in the middle. Waking bruised and bloody in a jail in the city of Eiolon on Venus, Smoke and Mirrors learn they are wanted criminals. The crimes they stand accused of include theft, assault, and multiple murders. The memories of their last day on the space station are still burning in their minds. They know the pieces had been set, the rules established and the game begun.
