Thrilling Adventure Hour Creative Team Wants More

Receiving over $100,000 for a $55,000 Kickstarter goal is certainly nothing to scoff at. The folks behind Thrilling Adventure Hour aren't content with the higher amount though...they want more. Quite a bit more. With a movie on the other side of it.

In only 20 days of the 30 day campaign, the Kickstarter has proven beyond successful. That prompted the creative team to announce a concert film as another reward for the backers and, in the five days since it was announced, the page has reached 25% of its goal.

“The largest challenge facing TAH is that we can only share the full experience with our live audience,” says co-creator Ben Acker. “Fans can listen to our podcast, but there is something indescribably magical about seeing it live. Some of the top actors in the industry are delivering their best work on our stage, and we want to share that experience with fans around the world.”

Scheduled for Fall 2013 at the Largo at the Coronet Theater in LA, this intimate 125-person performance will capture the quintessential TAH live experience. Tickets to the concert film (and its exclusive after party with the cast and crew) are only available via their current Kickstarter campaign. Fans unable to attend can pre-order a Kickstarter exclusive DVD, which will include bonus features such as behind-the-scenes featurettes, podcasts, and tons more.

In the Kickstarter spirit, TAH is offering a series of immersive fans experiences as reward tiers, which grant backstage access, various positions on the production crew, even producer credits on the film. “We want to make this performance as special as possible for the people who matter the most: our fans,” says TAH co-creator Ben Blacker. “Our backers have made so much possible for us, and this concert film will forever stand as a testament of our gratitude.”

The ongoing Kickstarter campaign now reaches for the long-awaited concert film

Designed to launch TAH into multiple forms of media, the 30-day campaign achieved its first goal in five days, raising $55K for an original graphic novel. Ten days later, a scripted web series featuring the backstage antics of the TAH cast received the green light after raising another $35K. Announcing the concert film on Kickstarter five days ago, TAH has already raised 25% of its total funding goal, requiring only $55K more to embark on its most thrilling adventure yet.
