Star Wars #1 Sells Out Second Time

Long, long ago, in a comic book publisher in Oregon...

Sounds pretty ominous right? It's not quite as vague as you think though, as it's the opening crawl to the multiple sellouts of Star Wars #1 from Dark Horse Comics. The Brian Wood penned book pairs him with Carlos D'Anda on a new series set in the time of the original trilogy and has sold out its second printing.

The book takes readers back to the adventure-filled days following the destruction of the Death Star. The days when the Empire ruled, Rebels were on the run and the galaxy was just a flat-out dangerous place. It's got some praise heaped on it too.

“With the focus on our beloved characters rather than just space battles (although there will be some of those), not to mention art by Carlos D’Anda and a cover by Alex Ross, this is the most excited I’ve been for a new Star Wars title in any medium in years.”—Wired/Geek Mom

“It all just feels like Star Wars, and for a franchise that has been around for over 30 years, D’Anda somehow finds a way to inject new life into it.”—Complex

For retailers, Star Wars #1 can be ordered with the code DEC128188 D. Full press release below.
