Defense With The BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is an ongoing story set in a world where zombies have taken over and people are fighting to survive anyway they can. Originally it was a post of news and tips to help survivors make it one more day alive, but now it has became a story of my fight to survive and to keep on living.)

Year 5. Week 15.

Carson City is in our sights and what a sight it is. Most of it was destroyed in the beginning of the outbreak, subsequent attacks and zombie movement. Now looking at it, clearly the zombies are the ones running this place.

Packs of zombies can be seen just moving about the streets and almost wandering aimlessly, but it's also as if they're in step with each other. I wouldn’t say they are marching together in those packs, but they look to have more purpose than the average zombie pack. I say that because the packs seem to move about in the same area in a circle or route they are supposed to do.

In all the years of seeing this city or that city, I've never seen this level of organization in zombies. I thought last year I'd be seeing the last of those radioactive zombies that just seem to be a bit smarter and a hell of a lot faster than the average zombie. Have they managed to organize and roundup other zombies to make Carson City their home base? That's a scary thought and frightening thing to think about: a zombie army that can be led by a being with more intelligence than a tree stump like the other zombies. Something of that magnitude will have to be avoided at all costs. If this army of zombies ever decides to move out of Carson City, wherever they head to is in for a load of trouble.

With Carson City out as a place to search for anything, we'll have to go a long way around to stay on course for Reno. Have to just hope that whatever is getting all these zombies to Carson City doesn’t have them stationed out on roads around it or else we're going to find a fight none of us are ready for yet.
