Archaia Brings The March of the Crabs to English-Speaking Audience

The March of the Crabs

The Earth is a great, big place. It's got a lot of countries and different civilizations. With those civilizations comes a lot of differing stories, one of which is about to be released to an English-speaking audience for the first time. This March, Archaia is pleased to announce the debut of The March of the Crabs Vol. 1: The Crabby Condition hardcover from French animator Arthur de Pins. Combining the slick look of Art Deco with tongue-in-cheek humor, de Pins tells the story of a hapless species of crab that is one of nature’s cruel jokes, and what it means when they start breaking out of their set evolution.

“Archaia has always taken pride in bringing beautiful European graphic novels to English-speaking audiences, and The March of the Crabs is a wonderful new addition to that catalogue,” said BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon. “Beautifully drawn and bitingly funny, Arthur de Pins’ striking work is poised to be a delightful new discovery for the industry this year.”

For centuries, the square crab has only been able to move side-to-side in one direction. But some brave crabs decide it’s time for revolution! A few of the brave crustaceans in an estuary on the French coastline decide it’s time to try and actually turn for once, but what could their evolution revolution mean for the human race?

The March of the Crabs Vol. 1: The Crabby Condition hardcover arrives in comic shops from Archaia on March 25th with a cover by creator Arthur de Pins for the price of $19.99 under Diamond order code JAN151150. The Final Order Cutoff deadline for retailers is March 2nd. Full press release below.
