Grimm Fairy Tales Gets Caffeinated

The latest trend in comics is to find a relatively obscure property, secure film rights to it, make the movie and get credit for being original. It's not often that a coffee shop teams up with a publisher to launch a joint effort. Coffee Shop of Horrors is doing just that, teaming up with Zenescope to provide specially flavored coffees based on their Grimm Fairy Tales series.

“We’re happy we could embrace a company that complimented our horror themes for our first foray into food and beverage licensing! It was a great opportunity for us to develop a Krampus blend in conjunction with our 2015 Robyn Hood Holiday Special, allowing us another avenue to celebrate with our fans and their families," said Jennifer Bermel, Head of Licensing & Business Development.

Based out of Montverde, Florida, Coffee Shop of Horrors is aligned with the largest private importer of green coffee beans on the U.S. East Coast to procure: Grade A, single source, fair trade, and organic beans, roasted with all-natural oils and extracts. Providing the best-tasting and highest quality coffees, they offer a variety of terrifying, whimsically horrific, and fantastical labels which now include:

Krampus Yuletide Terror - Ethiopian Harrar
Harrar Arabica beans, processed naturally, will produce a distinct berry note; and this Ethiopian Harrar has a strong dry edge, winy-to-fruit-like acidity, rich aroma, and a heavy body. One can observe an intense aroma of blueberries, blackberries, and dark chocolate in this holiday blend.

Show White's Enchanted Apple - Apple Strudel
Starting with green Columbian Supremo coffee beans—noted for their medium body, bright acidity, fruit notes, chocolate and caramel notes, as well as a balanced taste with a clean finish—this blend is roasted to taste of fresh apple and warm cinnamon, with a vanilla glaze.
