And Then Emily Was Gone was a pretty big hit for ComixTribe. The collaboration by John Lees, Iain Laurie, Megan Wilson and Colin Bell was terrifying in many regards and that teams is revisiting the terror well for Quilte, a horror one-shot which will make its worldwide debut at Edinburgh Comic Con, taking place at The Exchange at EICC on April 2nd-3rd. Quilte tells the story of Dr. Karla Quite, a revered psychologist who uses her unique gifts to treat patients afflicted with recurring nightmares. But when tasked with helping troubled young Adam Whitlock, her journey into his mind leaves her facing forces far more malevolent than bad dreams.
"The response to Emily was simply overwhelming, and I've been eager to get the gang back together for something new from pretty much the minute we finished on that book," said John Lees, "And the creative team have taken things to new heights, with Iain crafting some of his most disturbing imagery ever. I feel confident that Emily fans will be more than happy with Quilte."
"Edinburgh Comic Con felt like a natural choice for debuting the comic," continued Lees, "We had an absolute blast at the show last year, and we were treated very well by both the organisers and the passionate comic fans in attendance. And with the move to a bigger venue at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, this year's show is set to be even better. Iain and I wanted to do something really special, offering the Scottish readers who have been so supportive of us the chance to check out our new project before anyone else int the world, and we hope to offer what will be the hottest exclusive on the show floor!"
