Preview: Batman: Battle for the Cowl #1

The Battle for the Cowl now begins. Recent events have left us without a Batman as it stands, and the new storyline seeks to fill that void. The first of three issues, Batman: Battle for the Cowl #1 will crown (or cowl) a new Batman before its all said and done. Or will it? Gotham City is desperately waiting for someone to fill the void, but it could be too late for Nightwing, Robin and Commissioner Gordon. Gotham City is falling apart and someone needs to fill the abandoned shoes sooner than later. But who's it going to be? Robin? Nightwing? Jason Todd? Two-Face? Catwoman? Batgirl? Grant Morrison is no longer writing the story, as Tony Daniel has taken over the duties. He's also doing the art (with Sandu Florea) and the cover, so he's kind of all over the place.
