Lady Gaga in comic book form

I guess it was only a matter of time until Lady Gaga's eccentricities would transcend MTV and hit the comic book world. Bluewater Productions wants to make it happen as the first in the company's new series called Fame will focus on relevant "culturally relevant celebrities and other pop culture icons." The first issue in the series will revolve around- wait for it- Lady Gaga. Free Comic Book Day 2010 will feature the preview issue that will showcase Lady Gaga. Future issues will showcase Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent, David Beckham and Taylor Swift. Bluewater Productions president Darren Davis seems to think his company's onto something. "Over the past year we saw an opportunity to broaden the scope of who reads comics," said Bluewater president Darren G. Davis, "There were many who had never picked up a graphic novel or comic book buy our biography titles like Female Force and Political Power. Fame is the natural extension of that trend." His reasoning behind the series? Bluewater Productions' Michael Jackson tribute work was so successful that it merits other comic books based on celebrities. Look. I can't fault Mr. Davis and his company for thinking that a comic book showcasing Lady Gaga is a great idea. Any thing that makes money is something that needs to be promoted. But a comic about Lady Gaga (and further Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent, David Beckham and Taylor Swift). What exactly will the comic focus on? If her lifestyle is any indication every page will feature her wearing a different kooky outfit while acting married to an actor from True Blood. Will it be biographical? Semi-biographical? Completely outlandish with Lady Gaga fighting crime and saving the day? Who knows. At the very least if you're interested you won't have to spend any money to pick up the preview issue. You know, seeing as how it's being released on Free Comic Book Day and all. Lady Gaga in comic book form
