Josh Hutcherson as Peter Parker in Spider-man Reboot

Get that proverbial grain of salt ready. Blue Sky Disney seems to have it on good authority that Josh Hutcherson (from Journey to the Center of the Earth has been blessed by director Marc Webb and Sony Brass. Apparently an offer has been made and Hutcherson has accepted it.

Meanwhile, Ace Showbiz is saying that Hutcherson hasn't been offered the role yet, and might even be playing Cyclops in the upcoming X-Men: First Class.

So he may or may not be Spider-man, and he may or may not be Cyclops. Fascinating to me that comics have progressed to the point where actors are being considered for multiple roles and actually wanting them (see Ryan Reynolds).
