New Arrivals: October 6, 2010

Normally I wouldn't endorse not spending money on comics but this week might be an exception. The exception is because this week is New York Comic Con, so you'll need to save some loot for all those fancy exclusives at the show. If you do allot yourself one book to get this week though, there's one from DC that should definitely get some attention from you and that's Batman: Hidden Treasures #1.

Batman: Hidden Treasures #1 is written by Ron Marz and Len Wein with illustrations by Bernie Wrightson (!) and Kevin Nowlan. I know it's hard to believe but yes kids, Marz does write stuff that's not Witchblade related. In this instance Batman faces off against Solomon Grundy in addition to being featured alongside the classic Wrightson/Wein Batman story "Night of the Bat" originally debuting in Swamp Thing #7. Both stories feature colors by Alex Sinclair and have a strong likelihood of being awesome.
