Archaia and David Petersen Announce New Mouse Guard Collection

MG Baldwin the Brave

Tales of bravery are certainly not few and far between. Every day, soldiers, police, fire fighters, doctors, nurses and an array of other high intensity occupations feature people doing brave things. Tales of bravery from mice are a little rarer though, which makes the news that Archaia and David Petersen have announced Mouse Guard: Baldwin the Brave and Other Tales for release in November very welcome.

In Mouse Guard, mice struggle to live safely and prosper among all of the world’s harsh conditions and predators. Thus the Mouse Guard was formed. They are not simply soldiers that fight off intruders; rather, they are guides for commonmice looking to journey without confrontation from one hidden mouse village to another. The Guard patrol borders, find safeways and paths through dangerous territories and treacherous terrain, watch weather patterns, and keep the mouse territories free of predatory infestation. They do so with fearless dedication so that they might not just exist, but truly live.

Mouse Guard: Baldwin the Brave and Other Tales collects the four Free Comic Book Day Mouse Guard short stories that have been published thus far (2011-2014) plus two new stories. Full press release below.
