BOOM! Sci-Fi Series Arcadia #2 and Broken World #1 Go to Second Print

Arcadia and Broken World are two of the newest series from BOOM! Studios, but that didn't stop them from joining the ranks of many of the publisher's other sellouts. Both Arcadia #2 and Broken World #1 have sold out at the distributor level and are going back to print. Arcadia #2 second print ships with a new cover by series artist Eric Scott Pfeiffer and carries a retail price of $3.99 with a Diamond Code of APR158748. Orders close on June 22nd, and it is anticipated to be in stores on July 8th. Arcadia #1 also sold out at the distributor level shortly after release and a second print is currently available for order with a retail price of $3.99 under a Diamond Code of APR158123. Broken World #1 second print ships with a new cover by series artist Christopher Peterson and carries a retail price of $3.99 with a Diamond Code of APR158749. Orders close on June 22nd, and it is anticipated to be in stores on July 8th.

Alex Paknadel and Eric Scott Pfeiffer make their comics debut with the sprawling sci-fi thriller Arcadia. When 99% of humankind is wiped out by a pandemic, four billion people are “saved” by being digitized at the brink of death and uploaded into Arcadia, a utopian simulation in the cloud. But when Arcadia begins to rapidly deplete the energy resources upon which the handful of survivors in the real world (aka “The Meat”) depends, how long will The Meat be able—and willing—to help?

In Broken World, Frank Barbiere and Christopher Peterson take readers to Earth in the final days before a catastrophic meteor strike. Time is running out for Elena Marlowe. While most of the planet’s population and her family were approved by the government to escape on one of the giant spaceships headed to another planet, her application was denied due to her mysterious past. With the meteor fast approaching, Elena tries desperately to find a way to fake her way onto the last ship or else be left behind to die with the rest of Earth’s rejected denizens.
