This is my Sunday best!!!

Trying to make up for the debacle that was Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects, EA has decided to take one more stab at a Marvel fighting game. Announced at SDCC (where else), and reported by Playstatic, EA is creating an unofficial successor to the original game. Here' what EA's Kudo Tsunoda (GM and VP of EA Chicago) had to say. "We looked at past comic-based games to find out what was missing and what was needed to successfully translate the intensity, excitement and fiction from comics into fighting games. We’re challenging ourselves to make a game that delivers on the Super Hero promises of past top-tier fighting games."

Vice President of Interactive, Marvel Entertainment, Justin Lambros, also added

"Marvel Super Heroes are a natural fit in the fighting game genre, so we’re excited to have Kudo and his team of fighting game experts put these characters toe-to-toe against each other on next generation consoles. This is a game that will deliver to both comic book fans and to fighting game diehards."

So if you have a PS3 (as it seems its a PS3 exclusive), be sure to keep an eye out for this one. Personally, I'm holding out for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
