Transformers 2 looks like Transformers
Everyone worried about the Transfromers sequel can rest slightly easier now, knowing that it has an excellent chance of rocking at least as hard as the first one did.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Ehren Kroger will be joining Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci in writing duties for the summer blockbuster's sequel. This is good news, because Kurtzman and Orci wrote the first one, so there's definitely going to be some continuity, and a sense of familiarity. These kids rejoin Michael Bay (director), Tom DeSanto (producer), Steven Spielberg (executive producer) and Shia LaBeouf (all around main star).
Apparently, the writers will be making some serious bank to write the sequel. Bank in the range of $5-$7 million, which is unprecedented for a non-original screenplay. It seems that Paramount did something extremely intelligent that most studios don't do, and that's wreak havoc on a good thing.
