Marvel 2007 Costume Contest Results

A few weeks ago I wrote about the first annual Marvel Costume Contest for Halloween. Hundreds entered the contest, and one winner was chosen as per the desire of the fans. That winner is Ruby Rocket (above) from Austin, TX. Her portrayal of the Phoenix (Green Costume) won her the Captain America Omnibus Volume 1 signed by Ed Brubaker, as well as an appearance in a future Marvel Comic. Some of the other costumes entered were...interesting. One person went the Marvel Zombie route as an undead Spider-Man, while another went the less superhero route by portraying J. Jonah Jameson. In any case, congratulations Ruby, for having a kickass costume of a kickass chick, and looking quite hot while doing so. 2007 Marvel Costume Contest Winner 2007 Marvel Costume Contest: Top 30 Update: After doing a little more research, I don't know if this is really a "winner" after all. The name "Ruby Rocket" seemed way too made up (almost porn starish), so I did some Googling and found out that really all this chick does is dress up in superhero costumes. She's been featured in Maxim, The Geek Zine and APE Entertainment, among others. So yeah, her costume was the best, but I don't really know if it was really a fair fight.
