Watch The Dark Knight with Christopher Nolan

The Dark Knight comes out on DVD and Blu-ray this Tuesday. You might have heard something about that. And if that's not good enough for you, Warner Brothers has just made it official that the film will be re-released in theaters on January 23 (come on kids, if we all go see it a few more times we can help push it past Titanic). But back to the home release. If you're one of the few that are actually technophilish enough to have a Blu-ray player, then boy have Warner Brothers got a treat for you. See, Blu-ray movies have this nifty feature called BD-Live, which basically lets Internet connected Blu-ray players connect to servers and give you additional extras and options which your movies you can download. Another cool aspect is the ability to watch a movie over the Internet in a shared situatiion. That is, you can watch the film with friends over the Internet. And on December 18, 10,000 lucky fans (that also own Blu-ray players) will get the chance to watch the film with none other than Christopher Nolan himself. All you need to do is buy the Blu-ray movie, and register for a BD-Live profile. After popping the movie in your respective players, simply log into your profile from the on-screen menu, and you're good to go. Then, starting December 10th at 11:59 PM, be sure to check your email, because the first 10,000 that signed up to accept will be able to watch The Dark Knight with Nolan.
