CNN's Top 15 Movies for Geeks in 2009
I must admit that it makes me happy to see comics really hitting the mainstream press. Take this list for example, where CNN decided to preview the top 15 movies for geeks in 2009. Now I won't take too much insult with the title of the countdown, as I fully consider myself a geek. And the list does feature quite a few comic book films, all of which are going to be pretty awesome. Those comic book movies on the list?
- Watchmen
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
- GI Joe: Rise of Cobra
- The Witchblade
That's one-third of the list that are comic book related films. I have high hopes for all of them, and am happy to see they're getting the attention they deserve. The rest of the list is pretty much a sci-fi fan's dream, and there are some other really awesome movies on the list as well. Some of the other films on the list are going to be pretty big as well, but at the very least make sure you get the comic book films in under your proverbial moviegoing belt.
