Battle for the Cowl

I'm going to warn you that if you haven't read Final Crisis #6 and care about Batman, don't read ahead because there are spoilers. Bruce Wayne as Batman is dead. The events at the end of Final Crisis #6 show Batman violating his one tenet by shooting Darkseid and killing him, but the residual energy kills him as well. All of this kicks off the Battle for the Cowl storyline, where a plethora of contenders will vie to become the night. But what has the best chance of taking over where Wayne left off? Wizard has a quick look at each candidate and what their odds are for them becoming the next Batman. Granted, these odds really mean nothing in the grand scheme of things because we're talking about events that have no definite chain of events that will happen. Nightwing: 2-1 Robin: 5-1 Jason Todd: 10-1 Damian al Ghul: 25-1 Harvey Dent: 75-1 Azrael: 150-1 Grant Morrison: ∞-2 Personally, my money is on Nightwing or Robin, but probably Nightwing. Dick Grayson is currently Nightwing and has the most experience working with Bruce, so he would be the natural choice. But it would be intriguing to see if someone else becomes Batman, leaving a power struggle among the jealous. We could see some interesting character turns from Mr. Morrison.
